The focus of this surah is the uniqueness of Allaah SWT, and the comprehension of these qualities will make one sincere in worship to Him. The Prophet ﷺ recommended reciting this surah, as it is equivalent to one-third of the Qur’an. This is because a good deal of the Qur’an focuses on establishing the unity of Allaah’s existence and worship. And warns the disbelievers against associating partners with Allaah SWT, particularly by attributing children to Him. Not only is Allaah SWT is unique and without any origin or children, He is also self-sufficient. These qualities are essential to realize that Allaah SWT does not need us, but we need Him.
